Fresh off his tournament victories at UFC 1 and 2, the legendary Gracie Jiu-Jitsu practitioner faced perhaps his most tenacious opponent yet at UFC 3. While one would emerge the winner of the fight, neither fighter would continue into the next round, making UFC 3 the first tournament where Royce had not emerged the champion.
