MMAjunkie is reporting that the light-heavyweight clash between Renato "Babalu" Sobral and Gegard Mousasi, originally scheduled to take place at the now-canceled Affliction "Trilogy", has been rescheduled for the Strikeforce event on August 15th.

We're heading back to the Jiu-Jitsu world for this edition of MMA 101, featuring the grappling-reversal technique, the guard sweep.While "sweeping" may also refer to the standing techniques of taking an opponent to the ground (including trips and hook kicks), the more common usage of the term in MMA refers to the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu form of the sweep, reversing positions with an opponent while grappling on the ground. Sweeping in BJJ is used to achieve top position after being taken down or pulling guard.

Fedor vs Barnett In Jeopardy; Barnett Tests Postive
Sherdog.com is reporting that #2 ranked heavyweight Josh Barnett has failed a preliminary test administered by the California State Athletic commission. A replacement is rumored to be in the works to face Emelianenko, with names like Vitor Belfort and possibly Bobby Lashley considered to fight in Barnett's absence.
King Mo vs Don Frye Confirmed for Inaugural M1 US Show

MMAjunkie.com has confirmed that Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal will face UFC and Pride veteran brawler Don "The Predator" Frye on August 28. The fight will mark the first major American show for international promotion M1 Global.
